This Privacy Policy describes how HawkEyes Digital Monitoring Ltd. (“we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information when you use our mobile application, M-Lens (“the App”). M-Lens is developed for Unilever Bangladesh’s internal field force.

1. Information We Collect

• Account Information: Access is provided only to authorized Unilever Bangladesh field staff. User credentials are created and managed by HawkEyes in collaboration with Unilever’s administrative team. No personal registration or payment is required.
• Camera Data: The app uses the device camera to capture photos of field-visit site materials and to verify employee attendance through face matching. These photos are used only to confirm the authenticity of visits and attendance.
• Location Data: M-Lens uses your location only during attendance marking and shop visits to confirm that activities occur in the correct town and assigned outlet. Location access is requested contextually — only when required for these specific operations.
• Media and Technical Data: Uploaded images or audio are processed securely for reporting and analysis within the app. Anonymous diagnostic logs may be collected to improve performance and reliability. This data does not identify individual users.

2. Face Data

During attendance marking, M-Lens captures a selfie image solely to verify that the registered employee is present at the time of attendance. The following principles apply:

• Purpose: To verify the employee’s identity by comparing the captured image with the stored reference image in our secure system.
• Data Type: Only plain image files are captured. No biometric templates, facial landmarks, or facial recognition data are generated or stored.
• Storage: The captured image is securely stored on HawkEyes’ servers and never shared with any third party.
• Retention: Face data is retained only for the duration of the service agreement between HawkEyes and Unilever Bangladesh. Upon contract termination, all data is securely transferred to Unilever and deleted from HawkEyes’ servers.
• Privacy Policy Reference: This section describes our collection, use, disclosure, and retention of face data in accordance with App Store Guideline 2.1 and 5.1.1.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate and verify authorized users.
• To confirm attendance and verify outlet visits using camera and location data.
• To process uploaded photos and related data for internal reporting and verification.
• To improve app performance and reliability.

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is securely stored on HawkEyes’ encrypted servers. We do not share, sell, or rent any user information. Only authorized HawkEyes and Unilever personnel can access data when necessary for support or operational verification. Secure encryption protocols are used to protect all stored and transmitted data.

5. Permissions and User Control

You can revoke permissions (camera, microphone, or location) at any time from your device settings. However, disabling these permissions may limit or disable certain attendance and visit verification features essential for official use.

6. Data Retention

Captured photos, attendance records, and location data are retained only for the duration of the active service agreement between HawkEyes and Unilever Bangladesh. Upon contract termination, all stored data is securely transferred to Unilever Bangladesh and deleted from HawkEyes’ servers.

7. Third-Party Services

M-Lens does not use third-party analytics or authentication services that collect personal data. All user data and authentication are handled internally by HawkEyes Digital Monitoring Ltd. through secure APIs.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect or maintain data from minors.

9. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any revisions will be posted here with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App following updates signifies acceptance of the revised policy.
